It allows member universities to provide a richer array of international activities and allows members to share good practice. The INU has endorsed the theme of global citizenship as a common element across the teaching and research of its member universities. Members of the INU have a strong commitment to internationalization, innovative teaching and learning methods and research. Another core value is to interact with the community in both local and global contexts and the adherence to the concept of students being educated to act and to think globally irrespective of their discipline of study, and be given the tools to play an active role in creating and maintaining a more humane and sustainable world〔http://www.inunis.net/?page_id=34.〕
